Orange Sierra Leone Holds 3rd Babala Ramadan Draw
Sierra Leone’s leading mobile company operator, Orange in collaboration with Piaggio vehicles Ltd on Saturday successfully held its third Babala Ramadan draw broadcast live on television and radio stations across the country.
The most credible and transparent draw was done electronically which led to five subscribers winning one million Leones each and one subscriber winning a brand new Italian made Piaggo ‘Keke’ with five million Leones as the star prize for the week.
The Babala Ramadan promotion since its inception has led to many subscribers being turned into millionaires and entrepreneurs as a way to add value to their life.
Entering into the promotion is simple as subscribers only need to top up their phones from Le 1,000 and above and the buying of a new sim card at the cost of Le 500.
Every week, Orange is giving free supermarket shopping from Le 250,000 to Le 1 million as a way of appreciating their subscribers.
Orange Chief Marketing Officer, Laurent Kiba, who made the first set of draw of five subscribers, said Orange is happy to share with their subscribers.
He said this shows that they care and want to give back to their subscribers something special that will help them start their own businesses.
The Chief Marketing Officer added that this promotion aims at bringing them closer to their subscribers and to give real life and to transform the lives of their subscribers.
“We believe all our products and services meet the needs of our customers”, he said.
The Senior Manager – Exports of Piaggio Vehicles Ltd, Swadeep Sundaray, who made the second draw, said the Piaggio ‘keke’ is an Italian made ‘Keke’ that is in many countries in Africa.
He said Piaggio ‘Keke’ is strong and reliable and it is made from the world’s latest technology.
Receiving his brand new Piaggio ‘keke’ and Le 5 million, the star prize winner of the 2nd draw, Alhassan Sahid Jalloh, a Retired Marine Officer thanked Orange and Piaggio Vehicles Ltd for adding value to his life.
Jalloh explained that, since his retirement he was looking for other source to make ends meet when fortune smiles on him
He said, at first he thought it was a gimmick until when he officially receives his Piaggio ‘keke’ and Le 5 million cash prize form Orange Sierra Leone.
The winner confessed that indeed Orange is the most sincere mobile company in Sierra Leone.
The winners of Saturday’s draw included a pastor and unemployed people with the star prize won by a business man in Kenema.
Apart from the weekly draws, the Corporate Social Responsibility department of Orange has been giving out food items to different groups of people during this Ramadan period.
