BILWAPHYSO Heightens Women & Girls Advocacy

A community based organization which has been transformed to a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) known as the Billah Watch for Physically Challenge and Civic Rights in Society (BILWAPHYSO) has heightened advocacy for women, girls, youths and children empowerment.

Speaking to journalists, the Executive Director for BILWAPHYSO, Chernor Osman Tejan Barrie said his organization was established in 2014.

He explained that the work on various areas of development including human rights and gender empowerment, strengthening community health system, issues of Sexual Gender Base Violence (SGBV), raising awareness on quality education, discourage child marriage and teenage pregnancy, advocate for good governance and environmental issues.

However, the Executive Director appealed to the Government, organizations and individuals for external support and concluded that they are not working in isolation but in consonant with the Family Support Unit (FSU).
