National Telecommunications Commission
The Commission is aware that a letter from the NRA to NATCOM is currently being displayed on social media. The Commission is appalled that a confidential letter between two institutions has been made public and views this as very unprofessional.
NATCOM wishes it to further be made known that it first received this letter in in October 2017 and we objected to it on the grounds that the figure was incorrect. NATCOM and the NRA were to meet to discuss this letter but unfortunately the meeting did not materialize.
NATCOM would also like it to be made known that we had made up to 80% of the payment which the NRA had not acknowledged. The Commission wants to assure the public that the amount in dispute which is far less than the 32 Billion claimed is money which the Commission had not yet received. NATCOM will be meeting with the NRA on 18th April to clarify all issues and is committed to making all its statutory payments.
