NEC says it’s going ahead

The Sierra Leone National Electoral Commission (NEC) says it’s going ahead with preparation for the conduct of the runoff presidential election scheduled to take place on Tuesday 23rd March 2018.

This, after a High Court ordered an injunction temporarily restraining the commission from conducting the poll.

The Commission also calls for security for its staff, premises and materials.

Meanwhile, Social Media reports that Police have stormed the election  building are not true.  No unusual or extra presence of security forces at the Headquarters.
