As electioneering process gets hotter Mercury Engages Retailers
The Chairman for Mercury Retailers Association –Sierra Leone, (MRA-SL), Mr. Ibrahim Bosto Kamara and his executives has engaged Freetown Mercury Retailers Association (FMRA) as the electioneering processes get hotter ahead of March 7th 2018.
This fruitful engagement was held at the Customer Service Centre on Walpole Street in Freetown, during the week end on Sunday 4th February 2018.
According to MRA-SL Chairman, Mercury International is the number one state lottery and sport betting company in Sierra Leone and that Retailers association executive deems it necessary to engaged Retailers at this crucial moment when the country is about to go to the polls for the forthcoming general elections adding that retailers should pay attention to their task only with focus minds.
He noted that, Mercury International Company has offered many products to Sierra Leoneans like the popular 5/90 lottery, 4/50 Jackpot game, football betting draws among other valuable products for the improvement of the game adding that the company will continue to conduct its usual draws at the head office on Siaka Stevens Street in Freetown for majority of the company’s esteem customers and retailers to experience transparency, credibility, accountability and fair play in the presence of Mercury Management, general public, representatives from the Judiciary, law enforcement body, Financial institutions, Civil society activists, media institutions among other trustworthy institutions.
He admonished retailers to stay away from political activities because he said; the operations of Mercury International are not political and required high-tech concentration.
Mr. Bosto Kamara assures retailers that the company will continue to operate even though the electioneering process is getting hotter and closer day by day with high tension campaigning and mention that, the company has incorporates more banking institutions for all mercury transactions to avoid misfortune throughout the whole exercise. He said retailers can now pay to any Rokel Commercial Bank across the country without any delay.
He advised retailers to continue to teach esteem costumers some of the new games that the company has established for the benefit of the nation adding that the management of Mercury International has add another one hundred million Leones (Le 100,000,000) for the winner of the 4/50 Jacket on Valentine’s day.
He assured retailers and esteem costumers of the company’s protection during, before and after the polls and disclosed that the association will soon start to engage concerned authorities for the safety and social welfare of retailers who he described as the pioneers for Mercury International Revenue mobilization merchants.
He appealed to retailers and staff of Mercury International to maintain Non-Violence and political tolerance and warned that red, orange, pink, green or white should not be the focus but said, the country is bigger than all of those parties or colours adding that election is a one day exercise which means we have to live again as one family after the whole process with one victor to emerge for the Great Republic of Sierra Leone.
Mr. Kamara went further to commend the entire management and staff of Mercury International for improving the lives of many citizens and vowed to ensure a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the electioneering period.
He concluded by assuring audience on the association’s commitment to continue to address the general welfare of mercury retailers across the country.
