KKY – the reason for 2018 run-off

With hardship the surname of majority of Sierra Leoneans in the country, it seems that many youths have started falling in love with the UNITED WE STAND, WE STAND UNITED ideology which has started to spread like a bush fire.
Another talking point among the youths is the person with the cleanest hands among the three most popular candidates that is Dr. Samura Kamara, Julius Maada Bio and Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella. Others hold the view that the SLPP Presidential candidate has blood in his hands while the APC candidate is yet to come up clean in respect of the Ebola funds while serving as a minister of Finance and Economic Development and his deliberate refusal to act tough when country men face degrading and inhuman treatment in the middle east and other part of Asia in search of greener pasture during his tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation.
But KKY hands, according to many political analysts, is white as snow and stands innocent in terms of corruption as oppose to the two oldest political parties.
In other fora, KKY is being referred as a light that has come to show citizens the true meaning of democracy and the privileges that due them as citizens in any democratic state.
No wonder in his wisdom when he was serving as Director General UNIDO directed many solar and Mini grade projects which stands visible in all project areas.
But sad to note that the light (KKY) came to the SLPP with was not they comprehended but however refused to pitch tent with the incumbent APC because light and darkness are always on parallel lines and low decided to register a political party that will serve as political neutralizer because the PMDC has lost its saltiness for a considerable years now thereby given the two oldest political parties a field day milking from the natural resources of the state at the detriment of the real owners, the citizens.
The SLPP and the APC have very little or nothing to say about the stainless doctor negatively unlike Dr. Samura Kamara and Julius Maada Bio if we may want to open Pandora’s box in terms of patriotism and other good qualities of a citizen before we can start to assess whether Samura Kamara and Julius Maada Bio are the right individuals.
What is sure in this election is that many cats are going to be let out of the bag backup with documental evidences to counter the cosmetic politics of the APC and why the SLPP as an opposition deliberately remain silence in some national issues during President Koroma’s two terms in office will also surface during the campaign period.
