JOB vows to clinch SLPP flag

Chatting with this Reporter at his Campbell street in Freetown yesterday, he revealed that majority of the delegates have vowed to vote for him overwhelmingly so that he can win the upcoming convention scheduled to take place in Freetown on the 14 and 15th October, 2017 as they say he is the only one who can reunite the split factions in the party.
The Presidential hopeful bragged that he is the only fittest candidate with a very impressive and credible record to win the election for the party.
“My commitment is to the party and never to any individual or groups of persons,” said the Game Changer as he is popularly called. He asserted that if they are united within the party, there is nothing that will stop them from winning the next national elections.
Speaking on his service to the party and the nation, Mr. Benjamin said he has served as former Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Kailahun District Council, Councilor of the Kailahun District Council, and Chairman for Constituency 007 and as Ordinary Member for many years.
He explained that under his tenure as Chairman and Leader of the party, the SLPP North America Branch was granted Regional Status, and he was the first Chairman who launched a monthly press briefing, challenged the APC on many national issues, ran the party affairs out of his private offices after the 2007 elections failed to revive the party, SLPPNA awarded twenty delegates to national party conference for the first time in its history, paid off the party’s huge debts of more than one hundred and fifty seven million Leones (Le 157M) that they inherited, only SLPP Leader who toured Ebola Centers at his own personal risk to his life during the Ebola epidemic, rebuilt the party’s headquarters after it was attacked and allegedly set ablaze by the APC and above all, he is the only SLPP Chairman on record to hand over surplus cash of two hundred and eighty million Leones (Le 280M) including two vehicles and other assets worth over one billion Leones (Le1B) in value to Chairman and Leader who took over from his Paramount Chief Bai Shebora Kapen 111.
He called on his supporters and the entire SLPP family to support him in his endeavor because, according to him, he is the only man in the party who is capable of uniting all members of the party ahead of the 2018 general elections. He said he will support Maada Bio if he wins the flag bearer race and also expects Maada to support him if he wins.
