ACC Warns Isha Johansen
Competent sources close to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has intimated this medium that the Commission has in a letter dated 4th October, 2017 issued stern warning to the controversial Sierra Leone Football Association President, Madam Isha Johansen to stop acting in any capacity relating to football of the country for the fact that she is currently under investigation. This warning came in the aftermath of the Commission’s indictment of the SLFA president and Secretary General, Chris Kamara over alleged misappropriation of funds meant for the association.
According to the ACC Act of 2008, Sub section 135, all persons under investigation by the Commission must stop with immediate effect, acting in whatever capacities they were until investigation is concluded by the commission. It is this Act that Madam Isha Johansen is deliberately flouting by still continuing to act in her capacity as president of SLFA for which the commission under the watch of its no-nonsense Commissioner, Adi Macaulay, has therefore issued stern warning to Johansen to desist from such act or face the full force of the law.
