Word of Life Gospel Church Unveiled
The newly constructed and well-furnished edifice, Word of Life Gospel Church has been unveiled at Lumley Road, Wilberforce Village in Freetown on the 1st October 2017. Delivering divine preaching, General Overseer of New Life Ministry International, Bishop Jonathan Archibald Cole who is also President of the Pentecostal Churches of Sierra Leone expressed excitement to worship together with members of the House of God in the new edifice and preached that the spirit of excellence was in the Church.
Bishop Cole extended appreciation to God for the building of the great edifice and he prayed for the prophetic mantle of grace to fall upon the Church and he commended the leadership of the Church especially the Senior Pastor, Rev. Roland Bankole Gibson to mount such a big building within short period.
He described Rev. Gibson as a man of vision and encouraged members to celebrate him and thank God for his life. He described Word of Life Gospel Church as coming as a bright light for the Wilberforce community and re-echoed that it is marvelous in our lives because it is the Lord’s doing.
He told Christian worshippers that “If you want to be somebody, don’t depend on man because he would fail you but believe and depend on the Lord’s doing”. He encouraged members to repent and change or else they will die and go to hell. Bishop Cole further deliberated that your life, destiny, practice and activity must be the Lord’s doing and mentioned that the Church was built for lives to be saved.
Before dedicating the Church to God, he dilated that it was created for a purpose and dedicated the Church unto the Lord and he expressed belief that God would recognize the alter in heaven and ignited the Lord’s holy fire upon the Church. He said Jesus Christ is the Apostle and High Priest of the Church and he declared the House of God opened in the name of the father, son and Holy Ghost.
The Senior Pastor, Rev. Bankole Roland E. Gibson who is the only man of God aspiring to be the next Mayor of Freetown narrated that the Word of Life Gospel Church came in to existence three years ago and mentioned that the edifice was built within one and half year. He expressed thankfulness to God for what he has done for the people of Wilberforce community.
He said the Word of Life Gospel Church has a big branch in Kenema with prominent and competent men of God.
The occasion was climaxed with different musical performance and dancing with the Church Choir while the wife of the Senior Pastor, Evangelist Doris Bankole Roland E. Gibson also delivered solemn prayers and teachings.
