113 Schools built in six Disaster Affected Areas

Speaking to Journalists at the weekly Government press briefing in the Ministry of Information and Communications, Youyi Building in Freetown on Thursday 7th September 2017, BMT said among the 113 schools, 34 building damage, 35 furniture damage, 38 schools hygiene facilities damaged, 42 schools learning materials destroyed.
He pointed out that Culvert area loses 16 schools, Dwozark 23 schools, Kamaya 10 schools, Kanikay 9 schools, Kaningo 22 schools and Regent 17 schools. According to the education ministry mouthpiece, eighteen thousand seven hundred sixteen pupils registered in those areas while 626 teachers registered.
