APC Female Councilor boosts Koroma’s health Care
Councilor Melrose Jane During of ward 107 Constituency in Freetown has embarked on a massive cleaning exercise in her ward of responsibility; a move community members have said is a complement to the president’s free health care drive.
In the first of kind move, Councilor During mustered youth of the Naimbana Street, Big and Small Waterloo Streets in the Samba Gutter axis to get rid of the piling garbage that has been blocking gutters and drainages in the ward, much to the peril of the health of the people.
The young female politician noted that her latest move is to keep communities under her ward clean and healthy which she said will definitely be a grand complement of the president’s effort to ensure the health of the people; mothers and children in particular who she further noted are weak and vulnerable.
The lady councilor reasoned that if everyone makes the needed effort to keep their environments clean, there will be less needs for the drugs that are been supplied to health care service centers all over the country.
The Councilor revealed that she will soon be commissioning a public utility toilet at Takoradi corner which she revealed was constructed by Concern World Wide; an international Non Governmental Organization. Melrose Jane During urged the management of the Freetown City Council to speedily conclude arrangement for the opening of the already constructed public urinary at the Taylor Cummings Garden for public use.
