Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray Arrested

Leader of the Alliance Democratic Party, Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray, is reported to have been arrested on allegation that he was in possession of a shot gun during the recent bye-election in Kailahun.

His arrest was confirmed yesterday by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Alfred Karrow Kamara while he was talking over AYV television.

AIG Kamara noted that shot guns are only supposed to be in the hands of the state security forces and that it is an offence for it to be in the possession of any other person.

He said Kamarainba will be taken to Kailahun for further investigation and may be charged to court if there is sufficient evidence against him.
