FCC Congratulates Yassin Kargbo
The General Manager, National Tourist Board, Mr. Yassin Kargbo has received congratulatory message from the Mayor of Freetown Municipality, His Worship Franklin Bode Gibson.
In a letter written by the FCC Chief Administrator, Abu Bakarr Daramy and addressed to the General Manager, National Tourist Board, Mr. Yassin Kargbo, it stated inter alia that: “Council congratulates the National Tourist Board for the great job done in the beautification of the Lumley Beach and also in your attempt in bringing sanity to the environs of the Lumley Beach.”
The letter further stated that in line with this development, the FCC being a key stakeholder in the development aspirations of the National Tourist Board; the Freetown City council is willing to provide Metropolitan Police security personnel to man the Lumley Beach and environs, thus keeping at bay potential criminals and criminal activities.
It could be recalled that the General Manager, National Tourist Board, Mr. Yassin Kargbo has been working tirelessly in recent months to make the Lumley Beach beautiful and safe not only for tourists but for ordinary citizens as well. He is on record for engaging beach bar owners for them to discuss new ways and ideas how they can do their respective businesses safely and more decently in an area which has enormous touristic potentials.
