Budget Bureau Deputy Director Cries Foul

The Deputy Director of Budget Bureau in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Tasima Jah has expressed dismay at some MDAs that evades the recent budget allocation discussions meant to determine the allocation of budget allocation to MDAs.

He made this statement at the Miatta Conference hall following the absent of some MDAs to attend the discussion session.

The Budget Bureau Deputy Director observed with disappointment that, whilst government is spending its resources to ensure that these MDAs attend the discussion session, these MDAs failed deliberately to show up, noting that, they were well informed before the discussion but disregard the fact that they are working for the people of this country.

He said, MDAs are well finance to attend and explain what they have done with the past budget allocated to them and what they intend to do with the 2017 budget that would be allocated to them.

Tasima Jah said that, he was expecting a fruitful discussion that would have been centered on the development of the country mostly on the status of the present economy.

He called on all MDAs to make it a point of duty to fully participate into this year’s discussion as it is very crucial for the development of the country adding that he will not like to see a situation where MDAs cast blame on those that are responsible for the budget allocation for not allocating the money they need for the running of their institutions.
