Big Boost for Tourism Sector as 150 Graduate at CTTS…
The College of Travel and Tourism Studies (CTTS) has held its 8th graduation ceremony, considered to be the biggest since the foundation of the college over ten years ago, in Freetown, where about one hundred and fifty youths graduated in Ordinary and Higher National Diplomas.
Chairman of the ceremony, Capt Victor E.O. Spaine who doubles as the Chairman Civil Aviation Authority, took his time without mincing his words to be steadfast in continuing their academic journey. He said education is a life time process which can be achieved with hard work.
Principal of the CTTS, Amadu Sheriff in his statement said, “All of you here today, including your parents are anxious to know how your lives are going to turn out. It is okay to wonder and dream, but I also think it is important to realize that our future is not something that just happens to us, it is up to us to make it happen,” he emphasized.
Amadu Sheriff further admonished the grandaunts to be “good, optimistic and sincere in life.”
Director of Studies, College of Travel and Tourism Studies, Umaru Bangura called on the graduants to actively participate in alumni activities and stay connected with the college.
Past students of the college intimated this medium that most of them that graduated from the college are gainfully employed in the tourism sector.
