105 Tourists Arrive In Freetown
The newly approved Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Mr. Sidi Yaya Tunis and other senior officials of his Ministry recently received 105 tourists via a tender from a cruise ship that berthed at Aberdeen beach.
Receiving the visitors on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone, Mr. Sidi Y.Tunis thanked the tourists for choosing the country and encouraged them to help rebrand Sierra Leone by sharing their positive experiences in the country with other tourists across the globe.
The Minister assured that Sierra Leone is not only a pleasant touristic destination but also a lucrative country for investment especially in the tourism sector.
He also pleaded with the tourists to be organizing similar trips that will triple their current number.
Mr. Tunis disclosed that the tourists will visit Tacaguna, Tokeh Beach, and Lumley Beach where they are expected to play a football match.
The tourists’ visit was facilitated by Visit Sierra Leone Group which is aimed at opening the country to tourists across the world.
