Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai appeals to Pujehun people
VOTE MASSIVELY FOR APC IN 2018!
Following his sudden removal from office early March this year, the erstwhile Minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai visited his home district Pujehun during the Easter vacation. The former Minister was accompanied to Pujehun District by the Resident Minister South, Hon. Muctarr Conteh, APC Bo District Chairman, Sheik Sillah, APC District Chairman Pujehun, Mohamed Dabeni, SLPP Member of Parliament, Hon. Dickson Rogers, and several other stakeholders in the Southern Region. Addressing a jam-packed Town Hall meeting at the Pujehun Town Barray, Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai thanked his people for the concerns they expressed since President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma relieved him of his duties after an altercation between him and his Deputy, Mustapha Bai Attila, who was also fired.
He asserted that in life people of trust should not despise their home and people, citing the adage “there is no place like home. The former Minister assured that he would ever remain a bonafide member of the governing All People’s Congress (APC).
Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai also assured his people of his continued support to development in Pujehun District.
He therefore appealed to his people to vote massively for the ruling APC in the 2018 elections, noting that the more the party gets votes in the Southern and Eastern Regions, the longer they will stay in power to continue with the Agenda for Prosperity.
In his statement, Hon. Dickson Rogers of the SLPP thanked Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai for exhibiting good leadership role that projected in Pujehun District in good light.
Hon. Rogers recalled that the former Minister was the best Minister of the year 2014 despite all political odds and the outbreak of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).
He reiterated that one should not despise his/her home in that you may need them at any time.
Hon. Rogers on a more serious note admonished the youths to stop quarrelling and fighting for politicians since they are our future leaders.
The SLPP honourable conceded that the APC Government has done a lot for the people of Pujehun and the country in general, but however hastened to plead with the President to give Pujehun District more ministerial positions in his Government. APC BO District Chairman, Sheik Sillah, lavished praises on Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai for his hard work during his tenure of office as Minister.
Chairman Sillah compared politics to football saying that though Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai has gone for half-time, he should not relent as only the sky should be his limit in his desire to continue serving the APC to fulfil the President’s dream of APC clinching four seats in Pujehun District come the 2018 parliamentary election. The Resident Minister South, Hon. Muctarr Conteh, who was visibly moved by the crowd that turned up to welcome the former Minister, said the people of Pujehun have demonstrated true love for their brother.
He described the euphoria over Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai’s visit as a step in the right direction.
The Resident Minister asserted that every human being is bound to face challenges and setbacks, but it is all left with how the individual can prepare himself/herself to overcome those challenges and setbacks.
Hon. Muctarr Conteh also appealed for unity, love and respect to reign among the people of Pujehun District, and to put aside backbiting, malice and partisan divisiveness. During the visit, prayers were offered for Alhaji Moijueh Kaikai at the Pujehun Central Mosque.
The former Minister also took the kick-off in a gala match organized by the youths of Pujehun District as a sign of solidarity.
