Legal Aid Board gets Website

The Legal Aid Board Sierra Leone on Wednesday, 17th November, 2015 officially launched their website at the Guma Building at Lamina Sankoh Street in Freetown. The launching attracted legal personalities, the Inspector General of Police, Mr.  Francis Alieu Munu, Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Franklyn Bai Kargbo and the media.

The Executive Director of the Board, Mr. Carlton Hanciles pointed that this is one big positive achievement that they have made to put the organisation on the map.

Chairman Justice Adeliza Showers said the work of the Board is enormous as several cases and prisoners that have been incarcerated for more than four to five years have been given legal representations free of cost.

She observed that the website will make the work of the Board more easier and effective.

In his contribution, the Inspector General of Police Francis Issa Munu noted that the launching of the Website is one positive and tremendous steps by the Legal Aid Board to achieve success and put the country on the map while commended them for such tremendous achievement and called on continues support from Government and donor partners on the activities of the board.
