Imam calls on government, humanitarian groups for support

Speaking to this medium at Rokel village, the Imam said he is taking care of one hundred and twenty-two (122) students in Arabic education but lacks the necessary tools to enable the students archive their desired goals. He said of the 122 student 60% of them are orphans and the Islamic center cannot accommodate all of them, he therefore called on government and humanitarian organizations to help him in building an Arabic school in the community in order to foster the dreams of the children in archiving Islamic education.
Imam Jalloh revealed that he has been in the teaching of Islamic knowledge for more than 30 years and said he is grateful in promoting the doctrine and message of the Prophet of Islam. He said reading the Holy Quran, memorizing verses of the Quran and knowing how to read and write it is his priority for the students. “Am ready to serve and teach these students for free but am really constrained of accommodation for them,” imam Jalloh stress.
Imam Jalloh noted that there are many lands around the community but they only need support to erect a building for the students and the Imam.
Coordinator of the Islamic education, Mr. Alhassan Suma also pleaded for support for the kids, pointing out that the children assemble in the imam’s house and that many of these students are without chairs and other learning materials. Mr. Suma said they sport children that are less fortunate to attend education but they lack support to vitalize their dreams.
Salamatu fofanah, one of the students praised the imam for supporting them in reading and understanding the Holy Quran. She said even though she attends English school she also attend Arabic classes after her normal school because she wants to gain for more Islamic knowledge. She too called on government and other Islamic organizations to support them with a building to accommodate them.
Alpha Conteh, a student expressed appreciation of the Arabic learning since he is unable to attend English education having lost both parents but now he is learning to read and write the Quran. Like others, he urged for support so that their dreams will true in Islamic education.
