Bollore African Logistics donates to Flood Victims

Freetown Terminal Limited, which is a subsidiary of Bollore African Logistics, has made a generous donation to Flood Victims at the Attuga Mini Stadium in Freetown. The Stadium is currently housing over nine hundred victims from various affected communities in the Ease End of Freetown. The items donated are: ten cartoons of pampas, two cartoons of sanitary pad, four bundles of used clothes, one hundred bundles of water, fifty bags of rice, and twenty cartoons of laundry soap.

Joseph B. Lambert is the Company’s General Secretary he led a delegation to make the donation on Monday 21st September 2015. He said his company thought it wise to make the donation so as to alleviate the suffering of the people. “We feel part of the family in this constituency which is why we are making this donation as part of our corporate social responsibility,” he said, and added that they will continue to extend support when the need arise.

Also with the General Secretary are the Human Resource Manager, Mrs. Claurinda Morgan and head of procurement Mr. Yankuba Bio.

The Logistics Officer in the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs Momoh Kanneh, on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone thanked Bollore for the donation. He said it will go a long way, especially in supporting women and children. He revealed that about 135 people are currently without booths, and added that security provided by the Military, Police and Social Welfare Ministry officials is water tight.
