Gabon match a must win Simbo

Leone Stars defender David Simbo, has said Leone Stars next Afcon qualifiers with Gabon is a must win and their primary target is to redeem themselves from sitting at the bottom of Group I, adding that a win will give us a better standing position in that group as Gabon has already qualify as the host.

The Najran SC defender said a draw against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday was a decent result for Sierra Leone in all the seven meetings with both sides third and fourth respectively in the group.

The former Al Hilal defender who played full time in Leone Stars clash with Ivory Coast on Sunday said with the inclusion of the older players into the national team I am sure of us getting a convenient win against the Garbonse side.

We need to improve on our goal scoring chances as that has been a major setback for us we miss a lot of chances so many times but I believe if were to have we will definitely get there one day as the clock is clicking lately.

We have a squad dominated with home base player we need to give them the encouragement so they can be better players for the national team.

Meanwhile Leone Stars next test will be against Chad in the 2018 world cup preliminaries which are expected to start in October, if Sierra Leone wins both legs they will face Egypt to get to the group stages.
