Golden Saint Chairman jets in with South African mining experts

With the expatriates from Rockforage Company based in South Africa, Cyril D’Silva is optimistic that the operations that had been affected by deadly Ebola over the past one year will get on its feet again.
Golden Saint Resources (Africa) Limited, which owns a gold and diamond exploration license was registered in Sierra Leone in 2011 and had been working in eastern and southern locations of Moa, Badja and Tongo before it was literally forced out of operations by the deadly virus as several other companies.
However, the company that had spent some $24,000 in 2011 to refurbish some 13 schools in its areas of operations is back in full gear, the Executive Chairman disclosed.
D’Silva congratulated the local team for holding the forth during trying times, while assuring that the company will maintain its policy to employ one hundred percent Sierra Leonean work force to do the work.
“All of our current staff members, from geologists to technicians to admin staff, are all Sierra Leoneans,” he noted, adding that the company will always endeavor to adhere to its corporate social responsibilities even at this exploration stage.
He revealed that his company respects the local content policy set aside by the government, that is why “all our staff are Sierra Leonean, and we will continue to employ more locals now that the operations is kicking up,” says D’Silva.
