APC and SLPP in political dialouge

SLPP: My friend, it is true you are a junior brother to me but age does not necessarily mean knowledge of everything.  My present dilemma requires that I seek advice from you because you went through the same experience in 2002 to 2007.

APC: Come out, man, what experience are you talking about and what is our dilemma?

SLPP: It is all about my children, John, Maada, Alie, their uncle, Kapen and even the prodigal one, Charlie boy!

They are at each other’s throat and cannot see eye to eye to discuss matters of concern to their family (Sierra Leone).

APC: YES, in that respect I do sympathize with you. I was in the same soup, as you said, but my own children, being astute politicians, with fellow feeling for each other, solved their stalemate for their communal benefit which they all enjoy now although one of them did not live long enough to enjoy the fruit of their unity to the fullest.

SLPP: You are right, my brother. Your own children are more politically matured than mine who are not their brothers’ keepers.

APC: well, it all depends on orientation and upbringing.

You were brought up to be a gradualist depending on bookish ideologies for problem solving while I was told to be practical and not to hit the nail on the head at the right time. That is why your children are still philosophizing about how to solve their internecine acrimony.

SLPP: well, I am only waiting to hear from few eluders internationally. I have plans to disown all those causing problem within the family.

APC: what about the issue of Maada and YKK?

SLPP: I have no problem there. People should learn to wait for their turn in whatever they want to do. But my children are just too inpatient.
