No More Marijuana in Military Barracks Major-General Warns
Latest report reaching this press has stated that the Commander Join Force (CJF) of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, Major General M.M Keita has banned the sale of marijuana, concentrated alcohol and other narcotic drugs in all military barracks nationwide.
The report further states that Major General Mamadi Keita has issued a stern warning to all soldiers who usually make use of Senior and Junior Officers Mess not to drink more than three pints of beer or else such a Soldier will be charged.
Sources state that that when General Keita recently visited military formations in the provinces, he warned every Soldier to be disciplined or be sacked from the force. He indicated that it is during the time of peace that discipline should be maintained and not in the time of war when there is heavy firing in the battle field.
He was quoted to have said that he would institute new reforms in the RSLAF before he retired so that Sierra Leoneans would be proud of their army.
Major General has been described by senior colleagues as one among the best Soldiers in the country as he has distinguished himself nationally and internationally and he was recorded to be one of the dedicated fighters during the rebel war in Sierra Leone.
