Stealing of college motorbike FBC suspends 4 security guards
The Sierra Express Newspaper can authoritatively report that four security personnel under police investigation for allegedly stealing the University Motor bike with Registration Number FBC 007 have been suspended by the College authorities while awaiting the outcome of the police investigation.
According to sources at the Mountain Rural Police Division, the four security personnel including one Mano, Dickson and Patrick Moriba were arrested and detained by the police. Sources further stated that statements were obtained from the alleged thieves and the scene of crime later visited by the police.
The four security personnel were said to have spent days in police custody before granted police bail. The alleged thieves were instructed to be reporting themselves on a daily basis. The investigation of the matter took a turn when the four security personnel were summoned to the Human Resource Manager, David Brima’s office where they were served their suspension letters.
It could be recalled that sometime in July this year, the said motorbike mysteriously disappeared while parked right in front of the security post.
As we go to press, it was disclosed to this medium that an internal investigation on the missing bike will soon be carried out and anyone found culpable will face the full penalty.
