Be an Ambassador of Love
John 15:12, John 13:34-35 – The truth is, If we are not exercising the love of God toward the people around us, we are hating them and there is no in between.
God is love, you have probably been able to quote that scripture when you were in your Sunday school class, but let us be realistic, is God really love to you? When you look at people, I mean the Christians, you do not see the love of God in most of them, most of them think that God is following everywhere with a stick spanking for any mistake they make.
A person who has the love of God knows how to relate with his fellow human beings; one who has God’s love does not criticize or condemn others. You cannot give what you do not have; a true born again Christian always demonstrates the love of God.
What I see today is prayer and faith being demonstrated among Christians many of whom cannot relate well with their brethren. It was few years ago God began to deal with me in the area of loving people, even those that hate me.
The love of God is desperately needed in the church or the Christian body today. As Christians, we have failed in demonstrating God’s love to the world, so, we need to make amendments. God truly loves people, especially those who do not believe in Him, we are the ones that should demonstrate God’s love to them through evangelism and making sure that they understand God more through His word.
When you look at the life of Jesus, he demonstrated love more than anything else. His whole mission was to express and personify the love of God. He went to extreme lengths to prove to even the most sinful men that God loved them.
In Luke 8, Jesus after preaching and praying for the sick, told His disciples to go to the other side of the lake; that trip was very horrible with hurricane winds-they nearly drowned. When you read that chapter well, they braved the deadly storm just to go and deliver one man who had been in chains for many years, staying in tombs, crying for deliverance. When he encountered Jesus, he was totally set free by the love of God Jesus Christ demonstrated..
And there are many more cases out there that God wants to touch with His love but He is waiting for me and you to demonstrate His love to the sinners.
In Ephesians 1: 7-10, the word of God says He redeemed us in .order to restore our fellowship with Him so that in future, He will show His wonders and love to us. Love can cause the impossible to be possible because love never fails.
