AIG Assures Continuous Support to MOHS

The Director of Operations in the Sierra Leone Police, Assistance Inspector General (AIG) Alsheikh Kamara has pledged the Sierra Leone Police, SLP’s constant and unflinching support to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS) through the National Ebola Response Centre (NERC) to make sure Ebola response workers perform their tasks without any hindrance until the epidemic is eradicated.

He made the statement last Thursday when addressing Journalists at the government weekly press briefing in the conference hall of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Youyi Building, Freetown.

He described the security situation in the country as not only peaceful or quite but also calm as a result of what he called the robust and relentless work of the Sierra Leone Police.

He emphasized on the great job the SLP has been performing since the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease especially in the area of providing security to quarantined homes and ensuring that emergency regulations are enforced across the country.

He therefore encouraged the public to continue demonstrating their full cooperation with the Police to prevent crimes in our various communities, concluding that they spend sleepless nights to make sure every citizen and non-citizen is well protected.
