Sierra Leone’s Medical Practitioner Distributes IPC Supplies

Dr.  Rashida Kamara,one of  Sierra Leone’s young,promising and fine medical doctors,on Saturday August 1st embarked on a donation exercise of dozens of  of Infection, Prevention and Control (IPC) supplies to a number of Government Hospitals across the country’s capital, Freetown.

Among the targeted hospitals are  the Connaught hospital, PCMH, 34 Military hospital, Ola During, the Ebola treatment centre ADRA at Waterloo, amongst others.

The donation, undertaken  on behalf of a British organisation called Make It Happen in Sierra Leone  is aimed at  helping  promote a  new structure in the hospitals,known as  as Infection,Prevention and Control.

Dr Kamara is a member of Make It  Happen in Sierra Leone, an NGO funded by BRITISH PEOPLE CEO, Michael Colin,who  has been funding the Ebola Treatment Unit ,which Kamara has been   running by  providing water clothing and hand soaps.

However,reports state, the centre was  closed down last July and Dr Rashida has seen the need  to  distribute to government hospitals the items which hospital staffs and patients  are in dire need of.

Dr Rashida Kamara,a known medical professional has been a major player in the fight against the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone which saw the death of thousands of people.

Previously running her own unit at the  Ebola treatment centre ADRA at waterloo as  the Clinical Lead, Dr Kamara is now serving Kambia, north of Sierra Leone,  as Case Management Lead.

She remains highly dedicated and committed to the execution of her professional duties as a Medical Doctor.
