Information Minister Honors SLPP Chairman

The Minister of Information and Communications, Alhaji Alpha Kanu has bestowed great honor on the Chairman and Leader of the main opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), Chief Somano Kapen, during the official launching of President Koroma’s Post Ebola Recovery plan on July 24^th at Miatta Conference Hall in Freetown.

Alhaji Alpha Kahn who doubles as the official Government Spokesman took the audience by surprise when he asked for permission from the President and walked down majestically from the high table towards Chief Somano Kapen, who was occupying the back seat, and brought him to the front where most of the other dignitaries were seated.

“This is a national affair, so, we want every representative including Chief Somano Kapen who is the Chairman and leader of the main opposition political party in the country to be seated side by side his colleagues,” the Government Spokesman remarked.

In his immaculate white gown and black hat, the opposition leader humbly sat on the chair placed in front for him by the Minister and the multitude gave a thunderous applause for the political tolerance demonstrated by the Official Government Spokesman and Chief Somano Kapen.
