For Alleged Wounding a Lunatic Fidawi Grants 25 Million Bail for Disabled
Magistrate Alfred Fidawi of court no.7 yesterday, July 13th , granted to an apparently lawless disable person, Zokoriah Sannoh, a bail of twenty-five in the sum of twenty five million Leones ( Le 25,000,000) and one surety in like sum to be approved by the Acting Master and Registrar, Steven Yayah Mansaray.
It was alleged that on the 5th July, 2015, at No.12 Wallace Johnson Street in Freetown, the accused wounded the complainant, Mohamed saffa who is said to be mentally disturbed.
The accused is also answering to two other charges ranging from wounding with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. No plea was taken by the accused. Police sergeant J.Diano is prosecuting while the accused is at the moment unrepresented. Lawyer Lloyd Jusu is associating with the prosecution.
All the witnesses were present in court but the matter could not proceed, so, the magistrate called on them to be present in court on the next day of adjournment, July 20th, 2015, and assured them of a speedy preliminary trial.
