DTO Cracks Down on Reckless Drivers
The District Traffic Officer (DTO) of the Eastern Police Divisional Headquarters, Assistant Superintendent of police, ASP, Saidu Mike Kargbo, has disclosed to this medium that his operational team has currently waged an all out war on reckless drivers plying halfway, using unauthorized routes, driving without licenses and driving unregistered vehicles.
He stress that the spate of lawlessness by drivers and okada riders cannot be over emphasized adding that if they are caught they would definitely being charged to court.
He highlighted among other things that his division has been able to raise over hundreds of millions Leones via fines imposed on traffic offenders and that the money has been paid into the consolidated revenue of Sierra Leone.
The no non-sense ASP Mike Kargbo stressed that the issue of halfway has become big problem to the people of Sierra Leone and should stop forthwith.
