Zagalo named in team of the centuary
Sierra Leone Azerbaijani-base midfielder Alfred Zagalo Sankoh has been named in his former Norwegian team Stromgodset team of the Centaury for his significant contributions to the club during his days at the capital club.
Sankoh who join the Tippilgen club in May 2008 from second tier club Ullern, won the La Menga Cup, the FA cup, and qualify his team to play in the UEFA Europa league qualifying rounds were they were defeated by UEFA Europa 3 time’s winner Athletico de Madrid.
This was the highest title won by the club in recent time.
According to the club website which release the names of the players of the centaury indicates the 25 year old name will always be in the books of the club for his outstanding contributions to the club after spending three seasons at the club.
Speaking to this medium Alfred Sankoh said this is a big boost for him in his football career, Noting that it was at Stromgodset he was able to showcase his football talents that create a room for bigger clubs to sign him, I want to say thanks to our coach Ronny Daila who have the faith in him to give him a playing opportunities which I am grateful for he said.
I want to say thanks to the entire team management for giving me this great and memorable achievement, meanwhile this is the second award the player has received after he was awarded by the Football Journalist Association in 2010.
