CFFGF-SL feeds the needy
Concern for Future Generation Foundation Sierra Leone (CFFGF-SL) on Tuesday donated foodstuff worth millions of Leones as part of their humanitarian services in encouraging young pupils of the Medgarene primary school to go through the Ebola sensitization exercise.
Speaking to this press, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Mohamed Serry-Kamal said they were able carry out the exercise with support from two Sierra Leoneans based in the United Kingdom, Mr. and Mrs. Davies, who decided to organize a fund-raising event In order to solicit help for poor children in Sierra Leone to access quality education.
He affirmed that this is not the first time they are receiving such help from the organization of Luton Junior School, as they have provided school learning materials for the pupils of the two schools in Sierra Leone and they have also funded a school feeding exercise two years ago to pupils who feel they have been neglected by the society.
Mr. Serry-Kamal further said that the foodstuff and sensitization exercise was timely before the country`s three-day house to house talk, according to him this will help parents to prepare food for the children during the three days sit- at-home exercise to help in the fight against the deadly Ebola epidemic in the county.
He however expressed thanks and appreciation to their sponsors on behalf of the entire children and people of Sierra Leone for their timely intervention and urged the pupils to take their education with utmost seriousness and put into practice the ideas gained during the Ebola sensitization by regularly washing their hands with soap and water and avoid unnecessary body contact.
