Life Boost Ebola Fight

Life for Relief and Development, an International Non-Governmental Organization on Wednesday 17th September 2014 donated two 20ft containers full of various medical equipments and Ebola gears to the Ministry of Health and Sanitation. These items worth thousands of dollars were shipped by the USA branch in order to support the Government of Sierra Leone in the fight against Ebola.

In her remarks, the Country Director Life for Relief and Development, Haja Mariama Fadika emphasized that her organization has made several donations country wide since the outbreak of the Ebola virus. She noted that if only we obey and listen to the health advices given by our health authorities, Ebola will be a thing of the past.

Haja Fadika reiterated that if only people put aside some of our good cultural practices for now like treating a severe sick person and washing dead bodies, always call on 117, the ministry responsible to take care of the sick and dead persons, people will prevent themselves from spreading Ebola. She noted that pupils and students will also benefit from school materials when the country would have won the fight against the disease.
