4 Year-old Sierra Leonean prays against the spread of Ebola

A four-year old Sierra Leonean has joined his compatriots around the world to seek Allah’s help in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus in his country.

Abdul Rahman Jalloh, son of Sierra Leone’s Press Attaché in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offered his prayers in ‘Al-Masjid al-Ḥarām’, or the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which is Islam’s holiest site.

Junior Jalloh (in photo) was not far away from the heart of the Grand Mosque, the Kaa’ba, Islam’s holy sanctuary that houses the sacred black stone.

The four-year old, through the help of his mother, prayed to Allah to have mercy on Sierra Leoneans and forgive their sins and heal their land as they continue the fight against the scourge.

Jalloh also prayed for the protection of health workers and other volunteers as they fight the killer virus; as well as prayer for God’s intervention in the other affected sub-regional counties (Guinea and Liberia).

  • I am appalled by this story. Why do people like to advertise themselves in times of calamity. What does a four-year old boy know about praying for Ebola, it is another example of his fame-seeking father who happens to be the so-called information attaché in the sl embassy in Saudi Arabia trying to gain more favors from his masters in Freetown by parading this toddler for his own selfish motives.. It is nothing but a publicity, attention-seeking exercise by a government official who seem to have nothing to inform. And u wonder why Sierra leone is what it is after 7 years of agnda agenda for change and agnda for prosperity for those close to the president.
