CSOs call for review of Victor Dumanski’s case

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Sierra Leone have joined foreign embassies in calling on His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to use his good office to return the $2 million house taken from Victor Dumanski over a year ago.

The meeting was held at the St. Edwards Primary School, Ford Street, Freetown on Wednesday June 24th this year

The Chairman Mr. Sunny Kallon said he was surprised with the way and manner Victor Dumanski was treated in the Court of Sierra Leone.

They noted that the whole issue is surrounded with dubious activities because it was a closed door trial for which the president intervention is needed to save his Government from the eyes of the international community.

Chairman Kallon emphasized that this kind of action by the judicial system will definitely drive away investors from the Country because of the naked injustice perpetrated against Mr. Dumanski . They chatted that if nothing is done to address the issue it will not augur well for the image of the Country.

It could be recalled that ever since Victor was evicted from his $2 million house at Hamilton village there has been a general cry from the public to return the said property back to its rightful owner as the ruling of the court has caused Mr. Dumanski to be devastated and bankrupt as his monies were also extorted from him by bailiffs of the Court.

Quit recently, over $50,000 of household appliances were stolen from the house in question after plans to sell the house to some Russians failed.
