Usu Boie Commissions Magazine’s Power Plant

Minister of Trade and Industry, Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara (in photo) on Thursday 15th May 2014 gave a whopping sum of Le5 million in a cheque to the honorable councilor of Ward 374, Constituency 105, Councilor Abu Asif Kanu (Yankra).

Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara made this donation of Le 5 million for the purpose of buying a brand new  generator which will electrify the entire Ward 374, comprising of Hagan St, Mill St, Guard St, Fourah Bay Rd, Malta St, Mabella etc, which for the past three months had been suffering from national power cuts.

The Minister said to this press that he loves the style certain communities have introduced by lighting their streets and communities, especially in the eastern part.

On that note,Usu Boie Kamara said that he feel so good when the councilor of his own natal ward (Magazine) met him with the initiative about how to get a generator that will light their communities.

Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara said that the Magazine/ Mabella community is the place where he was born and hailed and will not seat by and see his communities plus other communities suffer from things that he can afford for the promotion of his people.

Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara continued that national development should not be left with the President alone, but everybody should join hands together and work which in returned, will see the country moving forward gradually.

Usu Boie also said that the generator he provided for the communities does not have anything to do with politics, but for community development.

He also said that his goodness is not actually meant for an individual, but for communities which everybody will benefit from.

On 24th May, 2014 the Honorable Minister, Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara took his time and commissioned the generator to the people of the Magazine/Mabella communities.

Councilor Abu Yankra told Usu Boie that the area has suffered some three months blackout, and with the blackout was danger for shops and residents in the area especially from thieves and even drivers that come with goods and food stuffs at night.

During the commissioning of the giant diesel generator at mabella, councilor Abu Asif Kanu (Yankra) said that he and his entourage that visited the office of the Minister were given utmost consideration by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara and serious audience was given to them also.

Chairlady of the market women at Hagan Street, madam Memuna applauded the warmly effort of the Minister by providing the community with such a gigantic generator which is now lighting the entire ward, and has brought down the crime rate drastically.
