“Agenda for Prosperity is not reflecting” says constituents of 086

Citizens of Matonkah, situated in the Ribbie chiefdom Moyamba district say the Agenda for prosperity is not reflected in their chiefdom.

 Pa Brima Kamara is the chief of Sven village in the Ribbie chiefdom, Moyamba district together with his subjects are calling on H.E. Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to provide them good roads, and to construct the broken Morban Bridge which has compounded situation over five months now.

Since the collapse of the bridge with a vehicle trapped inside the river, the Hon. Amadu Kanu of constituency 086 does not care for the cry of his constituents.

He pointed out that the Member of Parliament only focuses on his close relatives including the Paramount Chief of Bradford P.C. Foday Machoi who is a close family member to Hon. Kanu of constituency 086.

According to a Muslim worshipper in constituency 086 at Seun village in the Ribbie chiefdom Moyamba District that they have a death trap mosque that Hon Kanu has promised one hundred bags of cement for the completion of the mosque, but up to date nothing of help has never come from Hon Kanu of constituency 086.

 Pa Abu pointed out that on countless times the people of Seun village has met the MP without anything coming out of it. “The Agenda for Prosperity is not reflected to the daily lives of the people”. Said paramount chief Foday Machoi of Bradford chiefdom, but escaped from reporters at his residence as early as 5:00am.

Meanwhile, a village elder of Kunta village in the Rubbie chiefdom, Moyamba District Yaa Obai Baromy Bangura has pointed out that they should have voice or access to land which is their property which their parents or ancestors left for them.

 She confirmed the issue of teenage pregnancy, domestic violence and human right abuse in the chiefdom. Yaa Obai Baromy Bangura appealed to the government to construct the Mabang Bridge.

When contacted the Hon. Abu Kanu of constituency 086 at the house of parliament denied the accusations.
