Sources close to this medium indicated that one of the Surveyors of the Ministry of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment, Mr. Joseph Abdulai, and a Fullah brother called Mr. Jalloh, who claimed to be owners of over 150 Acres of land at Babadorie are on the run.

Information blown that the order of demolition given to them by the Court was fake for the fact that the land in question is a State Land and not a Private property.

It was revealed that the matter is now a topic of the day in the Ministry of Lands as over 50 people are said to have stormed the Ministry with bitter complains.

According to sources Mr. Abdulai who is sent at the said location as a Government Surveyor has disappeared in the eyes of the Ministry as he was named to have taken a huge sums of money from people with the pretext that he is a government Surveyor without the knowledge of the entire Ministry.

Speaking to a lady who preferred not to be named, she disclosed that the demolition team consisted of Police Officers, Military men and Court bailiff, adding that she was charged by the demolition team to pay an amount of Le 2 million for her land to be spared but said she ended up bribing them with Le 1 million, although she said the structure which has cost her over Le 70 million was destroyed.

It was also stated that the Surveyor and Mr. Jalloh ordered the demolition exercise recently at the said place without the knowledge of the Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment Hon. Musa Tarawally. The source further proclaimed that as the matter has been placed before the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma the Ministry has declared a general search for both the Surveyor and the land acclaimer to answer to questions.
