In Sierra Leone Camp Diva League, Veterans FC excel
Veterans FC comprising icons like Mohamed Kallon, Junior Tumbu, Kemokia Kallon, Amidu Karim, Bai Bai Koeman, Jeffrey Kabia, Joe Dickson, Pa. The football legends have played three matches unbeaten and performances were very impressive against young premiership players.
In their opening match, they had a 1-1 draw with group leaders, Yellow Nation FC. In the 2nd encounter, they beat Chapel Stars FC 3-0, and over the weekend continued their unbeaten record when they beat Graytonians 2-0. Kemokia Kallon and Junior Tumbu scored both goals in each half.
Yellow Nations FC have played all 4 matches and bagged 10 points, while Veterans FC have played 3 matches and have 7 points and they will play their final match against Congo Town FC who lay in 4th position with 4 points.
Victory for Veterans FC will see them overtake Yellow Nation FC to the driving seat but losing to Congo Town FC, 3-0 without reply will see veterans out of the competition.
