With traditional glamour and elegance, the inauguration of Chairman Sheriff and his executive took place in the City of Chicago, Illinois on Saturday March 25, 2014.

OUR MISSION
The Mission and purpose of Tegloma Federation Inc is to act as a bridge to and a voice for the voiceless in providing opportunity for the needy, education, cultural and social interaction, worthy of increasing and empowering one community at a time.
True to this Mission the Federation Chair in his acceptance speech in Chicago, unfolded a strategic road made for the next two years-reaching needy kids in Sierra Leone with academic scholarships that will enable them stay in school, building a stronger relationship with the healthcare community and foster a partnership that will be of benefit to our communities. Concentrate on the Bo Land Building Project and expand the Tegloma family in continental Europe. Together as a membership we will bring this strategic plan to fruition.
Today as we look past our rich heritage and history of over three decades, we are inclined to say that the existence of Tegloma Federation Inc in 2014 is a true testimony to a people whose focus is not self but others first, whose pride and prodigy lies not in the incapability of the past or the inabilities of what should have been but in the true self acceptance of putting our ‘selfies’ aside and think about the hungry kid in Mattru on The Rail , the boy in the streets of Bo that needs school supplies, the pregnant woman in Kenema that needs a delivery bed, the man with fractured limbs in Moyamba that needs crutches and wheel chair. We can therefore safely say that this organization is still in the business of helping the helpless and creating opportunities for the less fortunate.
As Tegloma evolves in the years ahead, we still have our work cut out for us especially in the areas of education and healthcare. With Sierra Leone’s infant mortality rate seating at 73.29 per 1000 live births and general life expectancy at 57 years of age-we clearly understand that regardless what time of the day it is, we still look at these figures with dismay and hope. Dismay that it could have been better but hope that we will get there with the focus of a sniper and the resilience of a people who have seen and lived the struggle.
Appreciations: Our heartfelt appreciation to Chief Francess Turay and the membership of Chicago for handing over the keys of this beautiful city to the Federation for couple days and for your southern hospitality. Chairman of the Board Mr. Abu Bhonapha, your stewardship to this organization is unique. To the newly elected Admin Executive, thanks for your selflessness.
May our hopes and aspirations for our people and communities in Sierra Leone and beyond produce results of lasting impact.
