Port Health Gbalamuya embarks on water well chlorination
The Port health division under the ministry of health and sanitation last Tuesday 6th March, 2014 embarked on the chlorination of water wells in the entire Gbele Dixon chiefdom, Kambia district.
Speaking to this press, the health officer in that department, Mr. Mohamed Morjue, said they embarked on the chlorination of water wells in the district, especially in villages including Gbalamuya, Masiaka, Rotifunk, and old customs site on the Sierra Leone border.
This according to Mr. Morjue, the aim is to prevent Cholera, Diarrhea and Run belle. Mr. Morjue further said that they are creating disease prevention care for the less fortunate people of the Kambia district. He also explained that the exercise will be undertaken every three months.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sankoh who is attached to the border embassy of Sierra Leone has told this medium that he is assigned at the border so as to accomplish, assist and complete embassy documents for all deserving travelers with less strain.
