China Kingho commences solar light project in mining communities

Installation of the solar lighting has already begun in the Kafe Simiria Chiefdom, Tonkolili district Northern Sierra Leone with plans to extend the project within the shortest possible time.
Recently a delegation from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development comprising of Mr. Eric Massally and Mrs. Baryo visited Kafe Simiria Chiefdom, Tonkolili district to get first hand information about the solar project.
They were impressed with the China Kingho solar project that has transformed several communities in mining areas.
He said the purpose of their visit is to see the impact of the solar projects on the livelihood of the people where the company operates.
The two government officials were accompanied by staff of Kingho, Bruce Zhou and Albert Williams, and they were also taken on a conducted tour of Mabontor and several other villages to see the installation process and its impact.
The paramount chief of Kafe Simiria Chiefdom, Alimamy Bangura II expressed his profound appreciation for the so many good works the company has undertaken in his chiefdom.
He however, explained to the government officials the extent to which his people have benefitted from the solar lights and many other facilities given to them by the company. He further expressed that solar light has enabled school children to study at night and other people to go about their business during the night without fear.
China Kingho Public Relations Officer (PRO) North, He Dahai, said Kingho will continue to do more for Sierra Leone in order to compliment the Government’s “Agenda for Prosperity’’, in which the president, Ernest Bai Koroma prioritizes energy.
He also stated that Kingho is poised to spread its fortune in Sierra Leone.
Pujehun Women applaud China Kingho
China Kingho Investment Company Limited joined the Women of Wanjama (WOW) to celebrate International Women’s Day with President Koroma in Pujehun District.
The ceremony was witnessed by the chairperson of WOW, cabinet ministers, parliamentarians, Paramount Chiefs, private sector executives, and a cross section of youths and women’s groups together with China Kingho staff.
China Kingho was one of the biggest sponsors of International Women’s Day. The company was represented by PRO Joey Kirk Ethan and Kaikai Partrick who attended the ceremony.
The chairperson of WOW said during the ceremony that the organization is aimed at the safe, social status of the women and children.
She also said that they intend to promote education in the whole district and expressed thanks and appreciation to China Kingho for the support in making the celebration a success.
During the International Women’s Day Celebration President Koroma said the safety of the women and the education of the children are always a great concern.
China Kingho has in the past donated a large quantity of school supplies in their concessions, and they keep a watchful eye on the educational problem.
PRO Joey Kirk Ethan and Investment Adviser Partrick Kaikai assured the women of Pujehun of China Kingho’s continued support and collaboration in promoting women issues.
