Fred Claye grabs football award again

Football philanthropist, Fred Claye this past weekend was decorated as ‘Best Sports Personality’ of Central One Football Association (COFA) 2013-2014 Inters Community football competition.

The sport enthusiast received this award at the Jay Bee Entertainment Complex, Circular Road by Ex-Leone Stars Captain, Umaru Din Sesay. During COFA awards day ceremony, several individuals were also decorated.

Speaking to this press, the dynamic and popular football philanthropist, Fred Claye said he is glad that people in society still recognize the good work he is doing to promote the growth of football in the country, however he appealed to all football stakeholders to forgive one another and work together to help develop football in the country.

“I apologise to all I have wronged in the past and if we all do the same to one another, then I hope peace will finally restore to football” Claye said.

Fred Claye was the CEO of Sheffield United and he has been financially, medically, materially and educationally helping footballers, Associations and league competitions since he arrived from England in 2008. He was also Sports Writers Association of Sierra Leone (SWASL) sports personality winner 2013 at Miatta conference.

Concluding to this press, COFA sports personality of 2013-2014 said he will continue to promote football in Sierra Leone when ever called upon, he said.
