Lumley Police vow to contain criminals

The Local Unit Commander at Lumley Police Station, Chief Superintendent of Police Alhaji Gibril Kabba Kamara has said that his main aim is to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility within Lumley and it environs.

He also explained that for the past two weeks he and his officers have been engaged in operations aimed at putting criminals under control.

In a chat with a street trader, Adama Kamara, she said they were very thankful to the Lumley Police for putting the petty thieves under control.

In another development a land owner who resides at Regent Road, Kaningo on Friday, February 28 ran to the Police for fear of his life as some unknown people who went to claim his land threatened to beat him up and kill him.

He explained that the thugs have been caught and are now in Police custody while investigations are ongoing.

Our investigation also discovered that the District Traffic Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Isata Fullah has instituted routine checks on her subordinates to ensure that all traffic rules are observed by all and sundry.

It was also learned that commercial motorbike riders now stop work at twelve midnight in order to minimize accidents and robbery.
