CCNTV dishes out $1000 to musical artist
Freetown, Feb. 3 (SLENA) – Castel Cable Network Television in partnership with Telecast Technology Company in China, an AV equipment manufacturing company, past Friday dished out one thousand US dollars ($1,000,00) to a budding musical artist, Desmond J. Giving a background to the project, CEO of CCNTV, Mr. Mohamed Jah said as a local service provider in football and other entertainment services, they decided to promote underground artists as part of their social corporate responsibility in order to improve the lives of local artists through music.
He disclosed that CCNTV has over one thousand customers who subscribe to their facilities in games and other forms of entertainment through satellite, assuring that every year the competition will take a differentform, all in a bid to promote the music industry.
Mr. Mohamed Jah said this year CCNTV will engage local news and content production on JAH24 TV to promote the country’s image.
The organizer of the programme, Mr. Kemo Sumaila said the project started last November 2013 with 40 participants and that the judges were from Balanta Academy of Music.
The first prize went to Mr. Desmond J. Kamara with $1000 cash prize and a record album studio of his choice. Second winner was Ejartu Sylvia with a prize record album while third winner went to Elleshiai I Jabbie with a prize of half album. The fourth winner was Abubakarr Barrie with conciliated prize.
