Sierra Leone – ELECTRICITY CRISIS – Finally EU Country Invests US$15 billion in Electricity Development

The collaboration between H.E. Chrysostomos Vassili of ICPT International Human Rights Council & H.E. Edward M. Turay Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the UK to help bring the attention of the electricity crisis to European investors where both their excellencies felt that Sierra Leone citizens have suffered far too long without access to electricity.  H.E. Chrysostomos Vassili had attracted the European investor and brought the Investor to the attention of H.E. Edward M. Turay who had applied all efforts to bring the investment to the attention and collaboration of the Ministry of Energy of Sierra Leone and its President.  We salute their Excellencies and the President of Sierra Leone for their devoted and hard work in helping attract such European investment to Sierra Leone where its citizens nationally will benefit from a brighter future .

Could we be seeing the end of the Electricity Crisis in Sierra Leone? Iit seems so, the Andreas Theodorou Group of Companies (Cyprus based company EU) has officially offered to the Ministry of Energy an investment of US$15 billion in the development of green sustainable energy nationally in Sierra Leone,

We are entering the year 2014 and 90% of the Sierra Leone population still does not have access to sustainable mains electricity supply.

Logic tells us that if all citizens of Sierra Leone had access to a sustainable clean electricity supply, it will provide a higher quality of life and higher chances of a better economic state; electricity can generate clean water supply, help improve agriculture, industry, health and educational services. Overall it helps increase life chances and greatly increases quality of life for Sierra Leone citizens who can better plan a sustainable future for themselves.

Sierra Leone citizens are economically crippled and cannot adequately plan their future due to lack or no access to sustainable uninterrupted mains or off-grid electricity supply.

The future and progress of Sierra Leone is largely dependent upon clean green uninterrupted sustainable electricity supply to every single citizen nationally, imagine if all its citizens had access to uninterrupted sustainable electricity supply and it will be easy to imagine the incredible overnight positive progress of a nation

Sierra Leone is a growing nation, proud and highly educated, with skilled people, whose future is held back and/or stumped due to the lack of industry growth and opportunities which is due to lack of sustainable national electricity supply

H. E. Ambassador Vassili (a citizen of the Republic of Cyprus & Ambassador to the ICPT International Human Rights Council) and Sierra Leone Ambassador to the UK Mr. Edward M. Turay realised the great need for green energy investment in areas of waste to energy which further reduces the on-going hazardous waste issues, bio-mass, solar, wind, gas turbine power stations and hydro-power as a major requirement in Sierra Leone, of which talks were entered into such projects on how they could benefit Sierra Leone nationally so that all its citizens could benefit from continual sustainable electricity supply nationally

Talks were entered into with a European company from the Republic of Cyprus the Andreas Theodorou Group of Companies to offer an investment of US$15 billion in Green Energy Development to Sierra Leone

This proposal made to H. E. Minister of Energy has been welcomed; the proposal will lead to the greater benefit of Sierra Leone and all its citizens

Let us look at the benefits of the Andreas Theodorou Group of Companies investment in to the Government Ministry of Energy and Electricity

  1. The Andreas Theodorou Group of Companies will seek Joint Venture Partnership with Sierra Leone Companies, which Sierra Leone companies will directly benefit from and create sierra Leone employment and revenue
  2. Energy Development subcontracts will also be aimed at Sierra Leone Companies
  3. It will create thousands of long term jobs for sierra Leone citizens
  4. It will provide electricity access to all of Sierra Leone citizens of which some 4.5 million of its citizens do not currently have access to main grid or off grid sustainable green electricity supply
  5. It will place Sierra Leone in a position where it will not need to seek to buy electricity from other countries
  6. It will help improve and create new home industries and improve exports
  7. It will help improve and create new agriculture and clean water supplies
  8. It will attract foreign investment
  9. It will help improve and create new educational and health facilities
  10. It will help bring Sierra Leone many years ahead of its energy road-map

More importantly it will give Sierra Leone its national pride and greatly improve the quality of life of all its citizens nationally and better allow its citizens the means to create a brighter future for themselves and generations to come

The Andreas Theodorou Group of Companies has already shown their sincerity and commitment to the investment via a signed and sealed MOU which now waits the signing of the MOU by the Ministry of Energy and/or the President so as to progress matters towards final contracts.

The benefit of this collaboration between the Andreas Theodorou Group of Companies and Minister of Energy will bring the great nation of Sierra Leone and its citizens into the light.

This would be the greatest gift to humanity the Government of Sierra Leone could provide its citizens, we congratulate and honour the Andreas Theodorou Group of Companies, H.E. President of Sierra Leone and H.E. Minister of Energy for their efforts and commitment to recognise the immeasurable needs of electricity to all citizens of whose quality of lives and hope for a better future will be greatly improved which will further allow the growth of this great nation towards a brighter future.

  • This is very strange. Cyprus is bankrupt so where will it get the money from? The island cannot even service its own debt adequately so unless they borrow the funds to loan it to Sierra Leone. Incredible logic going on here.
