Honourable Habib Munda launches his transformative development agenda in his constituency
On the 29th November, 2013 to actualize his past manifesto to his constituents, Honourable Habib Munda launched his transformative development in two sectional headquarters in constituency 017.
Hon. Habib Munda has unveiled his flagship project line up for his constituency. It could be recalled that during his campaign in November, 2012 he promised the people of his constituency good health and sanitation facilities, youths and women empowerment, and education.
Speaking to the gathering, Hon. Habib Munda informed his constituents that he is working with the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) to bring back the long lost pipe borne water facility to his people. He further maintained that documentation of this project is already in its final stage. He again stated that the water project will salvage the long standing acute water problem in Blama Community during the dry season, “all available water wells dried from February onwards,” quoted Honorable Habib.
He assured the local authorities to identify seven locations for the installation of the 3000 litres of Milla tanks to salvage the water shortage.
Hon. thanked Mr. Samuel Banguara, the acting director general of the SALWACO for supporting the return of safe drinking water to Blama community after five decades.
In his statement, the chiefdom speaker of small Bo chiefdom, Chief Mambu Moiwa thanked Hon. on behalf of the beneficiaries for his support and cooperation in his development project that are aimed to serve all.
Hon. has clearly shown interest in the youth and women empowerment by disclosing that 200 bushels of rice for women and youths as a way to empower them in their daily developmental activities.
Mr. Robert Banya thanked the MP for keeping to his campaign promised. He said all what Hon. Is doing is not easy to come across by other Honorables.
Participants in the occasion includes Mr. Abdul Makavore, Yayah Sheku, chiefdom Imam for SLPP, Madam Sallay Pujeh constituency chairperson for constituency 017, chief Bockarie Kobai sectional chairman- Kamboma section, chief Kene Gamoh- sectional chairman of Niawa section, Abdul Vandy- SLPP Chiefdom Leader Mr. Abiokeh Cole and constituency PRO Mr. Ansu Gbakie clearly said to have a member of parliament like Hon. Habib is not easy. They asked the people to make good use of the facilities to come. They later made reference to the Pavilion which Hon. built just after he won the election.
At the end of the occasion the Serabu Youths Centre was launched for construction and traditional dance climax the occasion.
