Eastern Polytechnic organize farewell ceremony for outgoing principal

The longest serving principal in the history of both Bunumbu Teachers College and that of Eastern Polytechnic, Dr. Sandy A. BockarieĀ  on Saturday 9th November 2013 gaveĀ  his farewell to the Lecturers, Staff, Students and the general populace of Eastern Region.

In his farewell message the outgoing principal of the eastern polytechnic Dr. Sandy A. Bockarie commended dignitaries, Scholars and other stakeholders for organizing such an occasion for him, adding that he has served as principal of that institution for over 25 years and he was pleased to retire as what comes around goes around. The principal further said he was proud for the contributions he made during his tenure of office to the college, and education within the country as whole.

Dr. Bockarie reiterated that with his hard work in both Bunumbu teachers college and the eastern polytechnic Kenema he has created many successes in the institution to the status of university. He however apologized to all for whatever bad he may have done to anybody in the past.

In his statement, the newly appointment acting principal and registrar of the eastern polytechnic Adonis A. Kanneh praised the outgoing principal for what he termed as indelible service to the institution over the years, adding that outgoing principal contributed in transforming the training college to a polytechnic and university status and congratulated him for his peaceful retirement.
