Taylor Kamara presented as new head in London
Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom / Northern Ireland has officially presented the mission’s new Head of Chancery Obai Taylor Kamara.
His Excellency Edward Mohamed Turay made the presentation before Diplomats at the High Commission during a meeting that was also attended by the mission’s Deputy High Commissioner Tamba Mansa Ngegba.
“As you all know, the former Head of Chancery Sahr Prince Demba had been recalled, I am now pleased to formally introduced the new Head of Chancery in the person of Obai Taylor Kamara.”
He called on all to work together for the good of the mission and the country.
Deputy High Commissioner Tamba Mansa Ngegba said the ball is now in the court of Taylor Kamara and that it is left with him to deliver as expected.
“The ball is now in your court to prove yourself,” the Dep. High Commissioner said.
HOC Taylor Kamara in response thanked his bosses for the confidence reposed in him and called on everyone to give him the support to deliver the goods.
“We are all sent here by the government and therefore we all have to work collectively for the good of the country.”
He said he will not succeed without the support of other members of staff.
Financial Attaché John Ellie spoke on the forthcoming auditing exercise on the mission which he said will basically focused on finance, personnel auditing, inventory and assets.
Ellie said the auditors will be looking between the period of August 2010 to date.
Meanwhile, Taylor Kamara will be formally introduced to the entire members of staff later today.
